untouched valley of river Kolpa, in it's magnificent beauty reveals its charm to everybody
who visits this peaceful place. It is only right to unveil these hidden secrets to the
traveller in search of peace and natural beauty.
Nowadays, more people than ever wish to spend their free time and
holidays in natural surroundings. In this respect, this area of Kolpa river is really a
marvellous experience for every visitor.
Our camp is situated within the village of Gorenja Zaga, 150 metres
away from the river on the edge of the woods in the valley below Kostel Castle and the
main road.
In addition to tents, our camp can also accommodate camper vans and
caravans.

The camp has facilities for tents, camper vans and
caravans and 2 chalets available for rent. It is positioned in a sunny location, but
well-placed trees offer shady areas in the summer heat.
To make your stay as comfortable as possible, the camp offers:
* established grass terraces
* tidy toilets
* chemical toilet waste disposal for caravans
* indoor utility area to wash dishes
* solar shower
* outdoor fire/barbeque
* separate roomy parking area for cars in the shade of trees
* possibility to camp in nearby wood
* electrical supply if requested in advance
We also have a covered area with tables and chairs for up to 40
people available to rent for parties or social events during the summer season.

activities
The Kolpa river is ideal for
swimming, fishing and boating down the river with kayak, canoe or raft - which are all
available for hire locally.
We also sell day ticketsfor fishing and have available tourist literature for the area,
including maps of local walks and biking paths.
We can also provide stamps for Castle Path of Kostel, Climber's path
of Kostel, Walker's path of Kocevje and Biker's path.
We can organise guided walks in the nearby woods and
excursions to Kostel Castle, the local caves, rivers, springs and waterfalls. We can also
arrange for you to be accompanied by a professional hunter.
These excursions are a precious source, allowing you to discover
nature, the living habits of wild animals, and expand your knowledge of past and present,
the local area, its inhabitants life, wisdom and traditions.
